Lucy Rosenbloom is the Systems and Information Resources Librarian. She is active within the Louisiana consortium of college and university libraries (LOUIS). As the Co-Moderator of the LOUIS Library Technology Interest Group, she worked to facilitate participation in the LOUIS Library Services Platform Self-Assessment and Request for Information project. She pressented the results of the project at the LOUIS Users Conference. Additional service at the state level includes her role as the webmaster for the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL-LA).
Lucy is the librarian liaison to the Business (all undergraduate), Food Studies, Legal Studies, and Political Science departments. She has taught the web presence portion of the Technology for Music Students course. She is a member of the Monroe Library Web Team, Information Resources Team, Teaching and Learning Team, and Digital Scholarship group. In 2016 she launched the library's participation in Computer Science Education Week by organizing Hour of Code workshops with the Monroe Library Web Team.
Interests and research areas include radio, podcast search and retrieval systems, and digital preservation of audio content. In April 2018 she presented at the Personal Digital Archiving Conference on archiving voicemail.
Lucy has previous professional experience in museums and cultural heritage organizations, including the Southern Food & Beverage Museum in New Orleans.
