Front Doors Opening
Library front doors to reopen on June 14
On Monday, June 14 the Monroe Library will unlock its main doors and allow access to both Loyola users and non-Loyola community members. It will no longer be necessary to swipe in at the side door using a campus ID card in order to enter the building.
As this new change takes place, we must emphasize that masks will still be required for anyone wishing to enter the library. This is pursuant to city reopening guidelines for libraries, and it differs from policies in effect for other parts of the Loyola New Orleans campus. For the continued safety of all, we also strongly recommend maintaining social distance while in the building. To help everyone navigate the more stringent policies in effect for the library, we have placed signage a various locations reminding users to stay masked.
For anyone who would like to enter the library but has forgotten their mask, student workers will be stationed near the front doors to distribute disposable masks. We greatly appreciate your help with keeping the library a safe place for all!
