Media Services Policies and Fines
Equipment Loans Policies
To reserve equipment, fill out our online reservation form. If you have questions, contact Media Services at 504-864-7120 or mediasrv@loyno.edu.
- All equipment is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Equipment requests must be made at least two business days prior to equipment check-out.
- A request for equipment does not mean that the equipment is reserved. Media Services will send you a confirmation to your loyno email when your request has been processed or if we have further questions. Only after you receive the confirmation email to your loyno email address is the equipment reserved.
Equipment may be checked out for up to one week. For more laptop loans, please contact the Learning Commons desk.
Equipment may be used only by members of the Loyola community (current students, faculty, and staff) for academic purposes. We reserve the right to refuse anyone the right to borrow our equipment.
During the summer, only students currently enrolled in summer courses can checkout equipment.
All equipment must be picked up from the Media Services office by 4pm the day it is reserved for. If not picked up the day it is reserved for, your reservation will be canceled.
All equipment must be dropped off to the Media Services office by 4pm the day it is due back. If you are late and must drop off after hours, please return it to an attendant at the Learning Commons desk and tell them it is for Media Services.
Equipment can NOT be picked up on weekends, holidays, or outside of Media Services' hours.
Regarding equipment deliveries, Media Services can only leave equipment in a classroom if the instructor is there. If the instructor is more than 15 minutes late, the equipment will be removed, and will not be delivered again to that class that day.
It is expected that equipment will be treated with exceptional care. If equipment is returned to Media Services in faulty condition, the borrower or his/her department will be held responsible for repair or replacement. If the equipment is not returned at all, the borrower will be held responsible for its replacement.
Replacement fees for damaged or unreturned equipment are determined by the replacement cost of the equipment.
